Malaria Kickout

A malaria and infectious-disease response in a crisis-affected community.

Project in plain language

A field intervention designed for people living in a humanitarian setting.

The need

Why the project happened.

The project responded to malaria and wider infectious-disease needs among internally displaced people in Mangu, where access to routine health services can be disrupted or difficult.

What Everwell did

From planning to practical support.

  • Community consultations and health education.
  • Malaria testing and treatment support.
  • Hepatitis testing.
  • Blood-glucose testing.
  • Medication support and counselling.

Documented results

300people tested
500people received malaria medication

Figures are presented in the form supported by the project records. They should not be added together as unique beneficiaries where services may overlap.

Who was involved

Collaboration & community engagement

Implementation brought together Everwell volunteers, health professionals and community actors in an IDP setting.

What this project showed us

Learning that shapes the next project.

The experience strengthened Everwell’s understanding of how health activities need to adapt to humanitarian settings, where access, continuity and trust can be especially fragile.

Evidence & privacy

We keep useful evidence without publishing private participant data.

Project records can include reports, service data, photographs, financial summaries, approvals, beneficiary feedback and follow-up notes. Public copies are curated so names, phone numbers, signatures, raw spreadsheets and other sensitive information are not exposed.
